Understanding the Pelvic Floor... More than Just Kegels
Guest Speaker: Anne Clifford
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles of our "undercarriage" that contributes to bladder, bowel, and sexual function. We don't tend to give these muscles much thought until we start to notice problems, because these functions of our body are just supposed to work without thinking about them. Common concerns are urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, or pain with intercourse. Physical therapy can serve as a treatment option for improving function (and confidence) of our most intimate bodily functions.
