Our 2022 Golf Outing Recap
My first experience with golf was not a pleasant one. It was July 4th weekend; it was 100 degrees at 6:00 in the morning and 100 percent humidity. It was HOT!!!!! On top of that, I was taken to a championship golf course. Not a great place for a beginner. I believe I golfed the 1st nine holes and then I threw in the white flag and just rode around in the golf cart the rest of the day.
When my team came to me and encouraged me to hold a golf outing as a fundraiser, my first thought was no. They convinced me it would be fun and a great way to bring people together.
This past Monday we just completed our 7th annual Gorgeous! Golf Outing. It was a great event and one of our most successful. The weather held out and our golfers were so much fun!!!! I loved seeing everyone take off in their carts and the smiles and hugs that I received along the way made it all worth the hard work that went into it.
I never wanted to be an event planner, I just wanted to help women with cancer. I realized that the only way to help women with cancer was to become an event planner. I am grateful that our events are fun!!
