I will never forget my 1st experience golfing. Can I just tell you that it was the last time that I picked up a golf club, well besides miniature golf?
My experience happened way back in 1989. I was invited to play golf with my co-workers from the salon that I was working for at the time. It was supposed to be a team building event.
I can honestly say that I became a great cheerleader that day because I certainly wasn’t much of a golfer.
Picture this, it’s July 4th weekend. It’s 6:30 in the morning and it’s already 80 degrees outside with 100 percent humidity. It felt so sticky. And as a first time golfer, the course was way above my level of play, it was a championship golf course.
I believe that I golfed the first 8 holes and then I rode around in the golf cart and cheered everyone on.
I am so grateful that our Hello Gorgeous! golf outing is so much more fun than my 1st golfing experience. We have hole sponsors that have goodies at each hole, we have a hole in contest and we even give you the chance to shoot a golf ball out of an AR-15. And we feed you all day long.
